The ClimaWell is one of the materials based on state-of-the-art scientific knowledge. It is a combination of functional polypropylene and biogenic inorganic additive doped with silver ions (Ag+). Nowadays almost every sportsperson knows that using functional materials helps to keep the body temperature stable, to take away sweat and keep the body dry and in comfort. Functional materials are thus suitable for all sports or physically demanding activities. In spite of all their qualities these materials cannot prevent harmful microorganisms and bacteria from formation and they then cause considerable problems as disagreeable odour, mildews and sometimes more serious, even chronic diseases. To eliminate these problems the ClimaWell technology comes with silver ions implanted into the fibre core.

Silver participates on the maturation process of white blood cells, which represent one of the most important parts of the immune system. Apart from other things it circulates in bloodstream where it destroys cell walls of pathogenic organisms – viruses, bacteria, fungi and mildews, which helps the immune system as a whole. Its activity is connected “only” with the immune system, however there are speculations that it shows a certain antioxidant activity. Silver destroys only unicellular organisms, it neither significantly influences multicellular parasites nor creates friendly environment for them. Unicellular microbes cause hundreds of diseases classified according to the list of the World Health Organisation and probably other diseases with so far unknown etiology and connections.
